Planning for Growth North (P4GN)

The P4GN program is a Northern Municipal Trust Account (NMTA) program that employs Community Planners to work with northern municipalities to:
  • develop Official Community Plans and Zoning Bylaws;
  • train Development Officers to enforce the bylaws; and,
  • build and enhance regional relationships to support long term regional planning activities.

An Official Community Plan is a document that outlines all future physical planning and development within a specific geographical area.  The document incorporates Saskatchewan's 14 Statements of Provincial Interest to ensure all aspects of the future vision of the community incorporates all aspects of the municipality.  The Zoning Bylaw provides the regulations and restrictions regarding the implementation of building and development.
