An Official Community Plan is a document that outlines all future physical planning and development within a specific geographical area. The document incorporates Saskatchewan's 14 Statements of Provincial Interest to ensure all aspects of the future vision of the community incorporates all aspects of the municipality. The Zoning Bylaw provides the regulations and restrictions regarding the implementation of building and development. |
Municipal Cost
In addition to the money provided by the Northern Municipal Trust Account, the program requires a monetary contribution from the municipalities themselves to ensure their commitment to the program as follows:
Towns $5,000
Villages $3,500
Hamlets $2,500
Settlements $1,500

For northern municipalities that are interested in participating in the Planning for Growth North Program, the following forms can be downloaded and submitted.
Sample Council Resolution: This document provides a sample Council Resolution that municipalities can adapt in order to submit to the Planning for Growth team. It provides official confirmation that leadership of the municipality are interested in participating in the program.
